Work History

Though now retired, Cecille was fortunate to have worked at two exquisite and legendary historic New York landmarks:   Bergdorf Goodman, the uber-luxe retailer, was the Cornelius Vanderbilt II mansion where Gloria Vanderbilt grew up in and the Cartier mansion was one of the former Fifth Avenue residences of (railway tycoon) Mr. and Mrs. Morton Plant.   Mrs. Morton "Maesie" Plant legendarily exchanged her Fifth Avenue mansion for one-hundred dollars cash and a rare Cartier double-strand natural south-sea pearl necklace she desired that Monsieur Louie Cartier initially declined to sell.
